In various Polish cities, Low Emission Zones (Strefa Czystego Transportu – SCT) are slowly beginning to appear. Their purpose is to restrict access for older vehicles that do not meet the required emissions standards. Supposedly, the idea is to improve our quality of life and health by reducing air pollution. In reality, it’s not quite that simple – but that’s a topic for another time. In this post, I describe the Low Emission Zones that already operate in Poland or will be launched soon.

Strefy Czystego Transportu w Polsce
W różnych polskich miastach powoli zaczynają pojawiać się Strefy Czystego Transportu, w skrócie SCT. Mają one na celu ograniczenie wjazdu do miast starym pojazdom, które nie spełniają odpowiednich norm emisji spalin. Wszystko niby po to, aby żyło się nam lepiej i zdrowiej, ponieważ dzięki temu ma być mniej zanieczyszczeń powietrza. Jednak nie jest tak do końca, ale to inny temat. W tym wpisie opisuję Strefy Czystego Transportu, które już funkcjonują w Polsce lub będą niebawem uruchomione.
